Lauchean's classes are designed for students of mixed abilities, that's anyone wanting to have some fun with letters. She teaches budding calligraphers everything needed to get a great start on the basics of calligraphy. Be inspired by beautiful calligraphy, colour blending and decorative techniques. Learn how to create simple artworks and cards. 
 
Uncial  or Gothic minuscule & and an intro to decorative designs.
THE STUDIO: Small classes where each student has their own drawing board, in a good sized classroom with access to studio equipment. Share info and skills with mixed levels of like minded learners in a relaxed environment, very popular classes & quickly booked.

Modern Brush Lettering Workshop

Modern Brush Pen Script, this workshop is a perfect introduction to creativity. Dive into brush calligraphy using Tombow ABT and Pentel "Touch Pen".  You'll develop a basic script, build muscle memory, experiment with brush pressures, pen holds to gain stroke letter consistency.
Learn a relaxing and meditative art form.

Italic script is an elegant, versatile script and this workshop is an introduction to Italic for beginners. You'll learn to draw the italic form through step by step techniques,
how to become consistent, then loosen up with graceful flourishes. Learn how to blend inks to create colourful letters. Lauchean's Italic is taught as an inspiring contemporary hand.
